T Cushion Slipcovers

If you are looking for a T cushion slipcover for your couch, loveseat, or chair, it might be a harder task then you think, but it is not impossible. Couches, loveseats, and chairs with a T cushion are a seating area where the cushions are literally in the shape of a T. The end of the cushion that you feel when you sit down has what is called “ears.” With the ears sticking out of the sides, the cushion actually wraps around the arm of the seat. That means you need very specific slipcovers to fit the cushion of the couch so that you will have a nice clean line to the slipcover, as opposed to having it bunch up on the sides where the ears meet the arm of the seat. You wrap it around the cushion and tuck it in with a special way that the directions show you in order to get a very tight fitting slipcover. The only downfall to this slipcover is that as you use the furniture you might find yourself having to fix and re-tuck the cover to get it just right.

If you still aren’t satisfied with the T cushion slipcover that certain manufacturers provide, you can choose to have a custom slipcover made. It covers so tight that it almost looks like the actual upholstery of a regular couch, loveseat, or chair. The downfall to the custom made T cushion slipcover is that they are very expensive. The benefit is that you can still take the slipcover off and wash it or dry clean it, or repair it if needed. They tend to last longer than couches in general, especially if you have rambunctious children or pets who like to clean of their dirt on your couch. It is very important to look at the condition of the couch or chair before paying good money for a custom made T cushion slipcover, because financially it may not make much sense if your couch is not structurally sound. Whichever style you choose, it will give you a new look and color to an otherwise older seating arrangement.
